A Photostory

I have to preface this video with a disclaimer because it is not lore-accurate. However, these models are rather expensive, so sometimes you just have to work with what you've got. For those of you who like musical accompaniment, I recommend going to Jamendo.com and playing this song while watching the video. (Picasa seems to error every time I try to add the music directly to the videos, so think of this as your chance to customize your experience). Enjoy.

(Disclaimer: Unfortunately, YouTube doesn't seem to like the slide transitions, so you get a preview of the edge of the coming slide on the right of each frame).

  2. I like the direction you went with this project. I hadn't thought about creating a storyboard like this, it's almost like a comic strip with great photography. I'm not familiar with the characters you have at all, but I think that puts me in a good position to be able to say your story line was clear and easy to understand.

I can tell you put logical thought into how to layout the text, particularly when there is a blurb in the top left and the bottom right. Since we read from left to right and top to bottom, this was the perfect way to do it.

One image pops out at me when the little guy is trying to climb up to a higher vantage point. Obviously you have some kind of staged set, but the way you shot this makes it seem bigger than it really is. Shooting up on the character made him appear higher up and the perspective made me feel like we were watching him get away!

Great job, it's clear you put a lot of time into this.

  3. Wow! This is extremely well done. I love the editing you did on the earlier shots, and the creative use of the cloud filter in multiple places. This is simply fantastic, and tells a very concise and cohesive story. I would have never thought of doing an actual comic book style story, but it works fantastically.
